Intro:
Welcome to the Ashes to Wings podcast, where we tell stories of overcomers, and give you tips and tricks to living a fuller, more embodied life, here's your host, Jenni O'Connor.
Jenni:
Hey friends! Welcome to Quick Minute Tips. This Quick Minute Tip is about Eye Palming. Most of us are spending a LOT of time on computers and phones, which is very fatiguing for eyes. While you can help reduce eye strain with things like screen tints or blue light blocking glasses, focusing on screens all day is still really hard on your eyes. Eye palming is an easy technique for helping your eyes feel relaxed and rested.
Just rest your elbows on your lap or your desk, and rest your head on your hands, with the palms of your hands covering your eyes. Your cheekbones should gently rest on the heels of your hands, letting your hands take the weight of your head. Let the warmth of your hands seep into your eye sockets, relaxing all the little muscles around your eyes. Let your eyes close, and take deep breaths until you feel relaxed and revived.
Let me know how it went! See you next time!
