Hey friends! Welcome to Quick Minute Tips. When we sit in a chair all day, which many of us are doing with Zoom meetings, our hips can get tight and sore. So this minute tip is an easy stretch that helps relieve that tension. The best part? You can do it from your chair!
Start by placing your feet as wide as you comfortably can, with knees stacked over your ankles. Place your hands on your knees, and press your knees apart. Tilt your pelvis forward to stretch your lower back a bit. Straighten your elbows, and twist your upper body to dip one shoulder down for a light upper back stretch, and then alternate shoulders back and forth.
Next, bring the ankle of your right leg up onto the knee of your left leg, keeping your right knee out wide. Tilt your pelvis forward and lean out over the folded leg. Hold this stretch for a bit, then switch legs to stretch the other side.
